Philippine National Police (PNP) Director General chief Ronald “Bato” Dela Rosa slammed Commission on Human Rights (CHR) probe in the death of alleged Abu Sayaff member Abu Saad.
Abu Saad supposedly tried to escape from the authorities and was shot in the forehead while running away from them.
Dela Rosa said that if the CHR wanted to probe if there’s a foul play in the death of Abu Saad, the commission must also probe the Abu Sayaff for beheading their victims.
“Sabihan mo yung CHR, huwag lang mag-limit dito sa side natin…Bakit pinuputulan ng ulo ng mga Abu Sayyaf yung biktima nila? Isama sa imbestigasyon nila,” he said.
The Abu Sayaff was known for kidnappings and beheading their victims if the ransom that their demanded was not given.
Dela Rosa also blasted CHR after they discovered hidden jail cell in a police station in Tondo, Manila.
He asked why the CHR conducted the surprise visits to stations only during the ASEAN summit.
Bato questioned the timing of the surprise visit and he said that CHR must visit every police stations everyday.
