Davao businesswoman Guillermina Barrido Arcillas on May 15 met with Department of Justice secretary Vitaliano Aguirre to discuss the possible cases that she can file against senator Antonio Trillanes IV who she accused of bribing her in exchange of testifying against president Rodrigo Duterte.
Arcillas was accompanied by Attorney Bruce V. Rivera, but it’s not yet sure if the pro-dds attorney would be the her lawyer.
Arcillas said that she’s going to file an affidavit against the people who allegedly bribed her.
The Department of Justice also offered the witness protection program to Arcillas, but the davao businesswoman refused because she already felt safe in her home in Davao City.
Arcillas caught the attention of the netizens after she revealed that the camp of senator Trillanes bribed her in exchange of testifying against President Rodrigo Duterte at the International Criminal Court in the Netherlands.
She also said that self-confessed Davao Death Squad members Edgar Matobato and Arthur Lascañas were also bribed by the camp of senator Trillanes by the help of a jesuit priest and Atty. Jude Sabio.
Arcillas also said that the camp of senator Trillanes made an affidavit that she needed to memorize and recite while being video recorded.
Senator Antonio Trillanes is not yet releasing an official statement on the actions of Guillermina Arcillas against him.
