Hundreds of Philippine Military Academy Alumni condemned the act of Senator Trillanes, their fellow Alumnus for being a bully his colleague Senator Alan Peter Cayetano at the Senate Hearing on September 15.
The open letter was written by Abe Paruggan of PMA Batch ’78 and Dan Jimenez Batch ’77 and posted it in their Facebook group TheLongGrayLine, a group dedicated to PMA alumni and cadets.

Senator Trillanes studied in the Philippine Military Academy where he graduated cum laude in 1995.
The open letter also asked for PMA Alumni and cadets to affix their names if they are also felt the same way towards Trillanes’ action.
Senator Trillanes faces controversy after he turned off the microphone of one of his colleague Senator Alan Peter Cayetano at the Senate Hearing happened on September 15.
The Senator also said that he does not regret switching off the microphone of his colleague because he believes that he just did the standard protocol for non-committee members who were contributing nothing to the procedure.
