This is how President Duterte celebrated his birthday in Davao City, no grand dinner, lavish party or expensive gifts.
The photo posted by Atty. Mans Carpio, son-in-law of Duterte, shows how the seven grandchildren of the President surprised him while resting in his old bedroom.
Marko Digong “Stonefish” was also there to surprise his grandfather.
Malacañang said that President Duterte’s birthday celebration would become silent and simple and Digong only wanted to spend his special day with his family.
President Duterte’s birthday wish is God give him more time and energy to solve the problem of the Philippines.
“So my wish really, my prayer to God is that he give me a bit more strength to do our – overwork time, because it is needed. Twenty-four hours is not really enough for the presidency, unless you want to sleep more than just about 4 hours,” He said during his visit in Bangkok Thailand last week.
“I only ask God that give me a little bit of time, a little strength to surmount the problems of the country and that I’d be able, not really to solve, but maybe mitigate some of the rigors of governance and the problems,” he added.
Several politicians already greeted Duterte including Vice President Leni Robredo who wished the President to be healthy and successful.
