Senator Leila De Lima questioned PNP Chief Ronald “Bato” Dela Rosa why he hid the name of the President who ordered to reinstate CIDG 8 Chief Marvin Marcos.
She asked Dela Rosa why he said on an interview before that a higher up ordered him to reinstate Marcos, but after that he changed his statement and said that his “kumpare” from Malacanang ordered him.
Dela Rosa also told Senator De Lima that he would reveal the name of the President if he was cornered by the Senate Committee. After that the PNP Chief asked De Lima to switch their position.
“So siya[President Duterte] pala ang ituturo mo eventually or ultimatel, you know.. siya pala talaga ang ituturo mo” De Lima said to Dela Rosa.
“Kung maipit, sasabihin ko. Magpalit tayo ng position your honor, ikaw maging chief PNP kung kaya mo” Dela Rosa told De Lima.
The words of De Rosa made De Lima fumed. Senator Lacson also tried to calm Dela Rosa.
“Do not argue with me! I’ve had enough of you. Kayong lahat na mga nagsisinungaling!” De Lima told Dela Rosa
After that Dela Rosa asked De Lima to continue the questioning.
The PNP Director General also said that he’s playing with the media that why he didn’t revealed the name of the President to them.
“I was talking to the media alam ko na pini-play ako ng media na ganun so nakisakay rin ako sa kanila your honor…eh alam mo naman ang media sinusundot ka nyan para mag salita”
