The video of the police brutality which recorded and uploaded by the brother of one of the victims showed two policemen beat and threatened two men identified as Marvin Calda and Macmac Villanueva who got arrested because of not yet known violations.

Iris Calda, narrated the incident in a post on social media:

Diba mission ng mga police to “serve and protect”? May karapatan kami ipaglalaban namin.

The victims were brought to the Barangay Hall in Brgy. San Jose where the beatings happened because they could not pay for a ticket for their violation.

Then the two men had asked if they had any “rules and regulations” (referring to their maltreatment) in the barangay. Both officers mockingly responded with “ang dami niyong alam!” and “marami kayong alam noh?

Afterwards, the police officer holding the arnis attempted to put handcuffs to the victims. But the victims asked not to be handcuffed because there was no case being filed against them.

That’s when the police officer Tandog struck the victim on his stomach and then right on his face. PO1 Tandog seemed started to lose control in his anger and repeatedly beaten and cursed the victim.

“Sige laban! P*tang ina! Puputukan ko kayo!” The police officer said.
