While the anti-Duterte protesters are busy in burning effigies and criticizing the government for alleged human rights violations, the supporters of the President also gathered in an event to show that they were satisfy by the performance of the current administration.
Thousands of Duterte supporter from different parts of the Philippines gathered in Plaza Miranda and Mendiola for a peaceful event to show their support to the President.
According to some sources, the crowd in Plaza Miranda already reached 10,000 and the authorities still expecting that more people would come to join the rally.
Several groups including, MRRD-NECC and Associated Seaman Organization gathered in Mendiola where the anti-Duterte rallyist gathered to criticize the government.
Several politicians also helped to transport the supporters in Plaza Miranda, including Caloocan Mayor Oca Malapitan who hired 50 buses and 20 jeepneys.
Hundreds of vans were also reportedly going to Plaza Miranda to transport more supporter of the President.
Some chose to march to Plaza Miranda.
Duterte’s Kitchen was set up in Plaza Miranda to distribute 4,500 servings of arroz caldo and juice to the supporters of the President.
There are also a ‘Presidential Complaint Desk” in the area to welcome people who wanted to complaint something to the government.
As of writing, the Plaza Miranda is already full of Duterte supporter, aerial shots were also posted by several Facebook fan pages to show the crowd.
