Vice President Leni Robredo known for her public image as a ‘simple mom’ proved again that she’s practical as she picked up the trash left by the people who stayed there and tried to make it useful again.
Robredo revealed in her radio program “BISErbisyong Leni” that she picked up usable junks during her visit in her daughter’s apartment in Boston, Massachusetts.
She said that she did her task as a mom after she helped her daughter, Aika Robredo to move in her new apartment.
Aika moved to the United States, where she will spend a year to take up Masters in Public Administration program at the Harvard University in Cambridge, Massachusetts.
“Dalawang araw ako sa L.A, yung pangatlong araw lumipad ako papuntang Boston, dalawang araw din ako doon sa Boston. Yung dalawang araw na yun nanay talaga ako. Talagang tinulungan ko yung anak ko na mag ayos ng tirahan niya,” Robredo said in her radio program.
Robredo also said that when she discovered that people who already moved out to the apartment only left their things in the trash can, she picked it up and made it useful again.
“Alam mo Ka Ely, nakakatuwa doon kasi, pinupulot lang namin sa basurahan yung mga gamit. Yung mga hindi naibentang gamit ng iba ay iiwan lang sa basurahan at doon kami namumulot,” Robredo said.

Several Pro-Duterte blogger gave their comment on the new revelation of the Vice President.
Edwin Jamora, a netizen based in U.S who supported the policies of President Duterte said that it’s normal that people who leave their apartment to move out would throw their other things in the trash bin.
But he doubt that the Vice President literally picked up trash inside the garbage bin.
“It is true that apartment dwellers, or kahit na homeowners, when they move out they simply throw everything in the trash bin. Ginawa ko rin yan! Iniwan ko sa sidewalk ang Lexus ko when I moved out. O, laban?! We put it on the sidewalk or beside the trash bin dahil normal yan dito! It’s also a business to some who’d gather them and turn it into something of value,” Jamora said.
“Ang kaso, the statement na namulot sila nang anak nya nang mga items sa basurarahan? Puh-leeze! It is highly doubtful na kakal-kalin nila ang trash-bin. I doubt that,” he added.

Last week, Vice President Leni Robredo attended a lavish gala event in Los Angeles, after that she took some private time to help her daughter settle into Harvard University.
Robredo praised by the netizens after she helped her daughter in fixing and cleaning her apartment inside the prestigious Harvard University, but some of her critics like Sass Rogando Sasot questioned why she still needed to help her daughter who already in the right age to become independent.
“Aika is 29 yo. Bakit kailangan niya ng help to settle down sa Harvard? Ano siya kaka-18 lang? Para-paraan si Leni!” Sasot said in her post.
