LOOK: Wounded soldiers from Marawi travels to Manila via President Duterte’s aircraft

The Commander-In-Chief of the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) showed his love again to his soldiers.

President Rodrigo Duterte brought his wounded soldiers from Camp Edilberto Evangelista Station Hospital in Cagayan De Oro City to Metro Manila to be treated in a still not yet known hospital.

Nine out of 40 soldiers who sustained wounds after they fought the Maute Terrorist Group rode the Presidential Plane together with President Rodrigo Duterte,  Special Assistant to the President Christopher Go and Presidential Communications assistant secretary Mocha Uson. The other wounded soldiers rode the C295 Aircraft.

Literally, President Rodrigo Duterte made the Presidential Airplane as an ambulance for his wounded soldiers so they can be brought to Manila faster.

This is the first time that the Presidential plane was used to brought wounded soldiers for medical treatment.

Duterte together with other officials distributed relief goods for the Marawi Evacuees in Iligan City and after that they decided to brought the wounded soldiers to Manila to be get a better medical treatment.

President Duterte was warmly welcomed by the evacuees in Iligan City National School of Fisheries.

 

Duterte apologized to the Maranao people for the destruction of Marawi City because of the war between the government forces and Marawi Terrorist Group.

“Hindi pa naman natapos ang Ramadan, I would like to say to the Maranao people that I am very, very, very sorry na nangyari ito sa atin. Sana kung madaling panahon you will find a new heart to forgive my soldiers, ang gobyerno, pati ako for declaring martial law,” he said during his visit to the National School of Fisheries in Iligan City.

He also promised that he would help rebuild Marawi City.

“Tutulungan ko kayo. Huwag kayong mag-alala. Tutulungan ko kayo hanggang relocation. And then, we will rehabilitate ang Marawi. Gaganda iyon ulit,” he said.

The battle in Marawi City still ongoing as the AFP determined to wipe out every remaining members of Maute Terrorist Group.
