President Rodrigo Duterte had a private meeting with former senate president Juan Ponce Enrile Wednesday (March 1)
In their meeting, the former senate President gave three books to the President Duterte and discussed different issues.
It is not yet cleared what the two discussed during the private meeting, but some Netizens hoped that they discussed something about Senator Antonio Trillanes.
Trillanes and Enrile clashed on 2012 after the former Senate President accused Senator Antonio Trillanes of working for China.
On July 2014, Enrile surrendered at the Philippine National Police headquarters in Camp Crame, but later granted by the Supreme Court to bail.
The 93-year-old retired politician in his previous statements that he wanted to put the former President Benigno Aquino III in jail because of his alleged involvement in the tragic Mamasapano Massacre on 2015.
