President Rodrigo Duterte has been warmly welcomed by several Chinese officials on April 9 at Qionghao Baoao Airport in Hainan Province, China.
He was not alone because his daughter, Davao City Mayor Inday Sara Duterte and his grandson Stingray joined the delegation.
This is the first time that the Davao City Mayor joined the foreign trip of her father.
Inday Sara was the chosen first lady of the President, but the Mayor denied the position offered to her because of her busy schedule.
Duterte together with the Philippine delegation members visited China to attend the Boao Forum for Asia (BFA) annual conference 2018.
Philippine Embassy officials headed by Ambassador Jose Santiago ‘Chito’ Sta. Romana welcomes the President in China.
This is the third time that Duterte visited China to meet President Xi Jinping whom he praised many times in his speeches.
And before leaving the country yesterday, Duterte said that he “love” Xi Jinping for helping the Philippines.
“I need China. More than anybody else at this point, I need China,” Duterte said. “I simply love Xi Jinping. He understood, he understands my problem and is willing to help, so I would say thank you China.”
