Anti-Money Laundering Council has ordered by President Rodrigo Duterte to reveal his true wealth and probe the accusations of Senator Antonio Trillanes IV against him.
In his speech during a dinner with the Philippine Military Academy (PMA) Class of 1967 at the Baguio Country Club, Duterte said that he already ordered AMLC to reveal his wealth.
“I have ordered AMLC and everybody to give information sa ano ang what’s my worth in this, in terms of pesos in this planet so hindi ko kayo hiyain” President Duterte said.
Duterte also said that he didn’t accepted his allowances and he would avoid it until the end of his term.
The President labeled the accusations of Trillanes as garbage.
AMLC is not yet giving any statement on the order of President Rodrigo Duterte.
During the Presidential Election, Senator Antonio Trillanes IV accused Duterte who’s a leading Presidential candidate during the campaign period of hiding millions of pesos in his bank accounts, but the AMLC failed to investigate the accusations.
Now Trillanes revived the undeclared wealth issue against the President but the camp of Duterte already said that he’s only trying to get media attention.
