Netizens has been angered since the Balikbayan box scandal leaked on the internet. The photo shows a Bureau of Customs opening the balikbayan boxes without any authorisation from the owners.
The Netizens who worked from other places just to feed their family was very disappointed of the scandal and they stated that they are going to make a move to punish all the people behind this scandal. The Palace defends the BOC and they stated that they are just doing some security check in the boxes.
One of the OFW that we interviewed said that they already knew why many items from the Balik Bayan Boxes were missing, because the BOC officials is opening it and stoled the items.
BOC receives complaints from different OFW and they are claiming that some of the food,gadgets and clothes that they put inside the box were missing. The Palace is now investigating about this issue and they are going to ensure that if someone is proven to be illegally removed the items inside the balikbayan box, they are going to punish it immediately.
