According to COMELEC, Duterte spends nothing on media advertisement that appearing on commercial breaks.
COMELEC also reported that Duterte only spends 85,000 in Political Campaigns and visiting different places on Davao last 2013 election.
Roxas is the number 1 spender for both Media Advertisement and Political Campaign for spending P232.1 Million following by Vice President Jejomar Binay, Senator Grace Poe and Senator Miriam Defensor- Santiago.
Many supporters of Duterte is very glad about the unbiased report of COMELEC and Rappler about Duterte’s spending last election. But the supporters of the other presidentiables also claims that the politicians that they supported didn’t spend anything on their campaigns and they only depend in donations.
In January 2016, Duterte said that he didn’t spend anything on advertisement because he knows that many people is helping him to gain funds that he will use for political advertisement.
One of the reason why Duterte hesitated to run for President is because he don’t have any money to spend for the expensive political advertisement.
