A Facebook blog named “Leni Robredo’s Fashion Diary” seriously counted the tops worn by President Rodrigo Duterte in public through the years.
President Rodrigo Duterte was known for his simple lifestyle and sometimes he always worn the same top in public.
This is the result of their research.
We’ve scraped the net for tops worn by Duterte through the years (as far back as possible) and here’s what we came up with:
Shirts – 59 pcs
Checkered Polos – 25 pcs
Jackets/Blazers – 18 pcs
Barongs – 17
Corduroy Tops – 12 pcs
TOTAL: 131 pcs in a span of 17 years or more.
According to them, for 17 years President Rodrigo Duterte only worn 131 pieces of tops. It means that every year President Rodrigo Duterte only got 7-8 new tops.
When he became a President, his many barongs were added in his closet because he needed it in attending different events.
But before he became a President, Duterte claimed that he only had one or two barong.
