After hearing Duterte’s SONA, this man donates P10-M worth of medical equipment to AFP med center

While delivering his second State of the Nation Address, President Rodrigo Duterte became a little bit emotional when he recounted the problem faced by the AFP medical center because the equipment that he promised to the soldiers were still not delivered because of the procurement process.

Last year, during his visit in the AFP Medical Center, President Rodrigo Duterte promised an MRI machine. State-of-the-art X-ray machine and Hyperbaric Oxygen Chamber to the soldiers.

But a year after, Duterte discovered that the equipment that he promised to the soldiers were still not delivered.

“last month I went to the back of my office, doon sa barracks ng presidential guards. So, we were groundbreaking for the hospitals of the soldiers. And I asked the soldiers who were there also from V. Luna, ‘Are you now using the equipment?” Duterte said during his SONA speech.

“Alam mo ang sinagot sa akin, ―Sir, tayo-tayo na lang ang magusap huwag na ‘yan sila. T**** i**, wala pa. Hindi pa na-deliver. sus. Sinabi ko, ―If this is the way how you treat our soldiers and they are dying now and that machine was ordered a year ago, and then a coup d’état, a mutiny is not a surprise to me.” he added.

He even warned Health Secretary Ubial to change the procurement process or else he would remove her on the spot.

“Change the procedure because I will change you.  Talagang mag-coup d’état ‘yan.” Duterte told Ubial during his SONA speech.

A kind hearted man identified as Tinton Deveza, a performance consultant who heard the speech of President Rodrigo Duterte decided to help the soldiers by donating an expensive medical equipment for the AFP medical center.

Luna Hospital would know how to operate it. (This chamber was worth over P10 Million.)” Mr. Deveza said.

“Mr. President Duterte, kindly accept this humble donation. My family and I would be overjoyed when you accept it.” He added.

The netizens were touched by Deveza’s help to the soldiers and because of that his post received thousands of positive reactions from the Facebook users.

He was also swarmed by thank you messages from the netizens who were grateful by his good deed.
