A striking photo touched the netizens and went viral on Facebook.
Photographer Jonple Baltar captured a photo during Good Friday Penitential Walk along Malate City to Manila Cathedral on April 14.
The photo got different reactions from the Netizens, some of them were angered how the nuns ignored the sleeping street children despite of the event that they were celebrated.
A debate also sparked between pro-catholics and anti-catholics.
Netizens bashed the Catholic nuns for ignoring the poor children and not giving any help.
Some of them even said that the photo was photoshopped, the others said that the street children were asked to pretend that they were sleeping so the picture will destroy the image of the Catholic Church.
They even said that taking care of the street children is not the catholic church responsibility.
Some netizens even said that the photographer itself is an anti-Catholic, but his timeline proved that he’s a Catholic who also joined the Penitential.
Mr. Baltar is not yet giving any statement on his viral photo.
