Duterte supporters who lives in Japan claimed that Japanese Media praised Duterte for his strategy in fixing the dispute in West Philippine Sea.
According to Grace Sangrio Rivera, one of the Japan News anchor praised President Duterte’s strategy for befriended China and asked them to talk about the West Philippine Dispute than engaging a violent move to defend the islands.
Some anchors also said that President Duterte is a good and honest leader, but they didn’t like his foul mouth and his gum eating habit.
“Sabi pa ng ibang anchor news HE IS A GOOD LEADER INDEED. maliban nga lang sa pagnguya ng gum at pagmumura nya ✌😂 pero indi naging issue iyon kasi he is just HONEST person daw. ” Grace Sangrio Rivera said in her post.
President Duterte got a positive image in Japan and according to some Filipinos who works in the Land of the Rising Sun, the Japanese are really loves and curious about the President’s personality.
Duterte also featured in some Entertainment and News Shows in Japan that made him familiar with the Japanese people.
Hundreds of Japanese people also waited for the arrival of President Duterte in Japan last week.
