The Southern Philippines Medical Center (SPMC) is now considered as the largest health care center in the Philippines after it was upgraded to a 1,500-bed hospital complete with additional staff and world class facilities.
The new four building of SPMC was opened yesterday, December 9 and now larger than the Philippine General Hospital in Manila.
The newest facilities of SPMC is the Central ICU that can accommodate 53 patients and 137 beds for general medicine cases.
There is also a cancer institute building with complete facilities like diagnostic and chemotherapy.
Isolation Facility can also be found in the new building to cure people with viral disease.
