Pro-Duterte blogger Mocha Uson named as assistant secretary of the Presidential Communications Operations Office on Tuesday, May 9.
The Malacañang Palace announced Uson’s appointment and they released a copy of a letter addressed to the celebrity blogger yesterday.
In her new role in the government, Mocha Uson would be responsible in handling media affairs.
Some journalists accused Mocha Uson of sharing fake news despite of the fact that she’s only sharing independent news websites and sometimes sharing articles from the mainstream media.
Her social media popularity started during the campaign period after she joined several Duterte rally and defended the current President from his critics.
Mocha Uson Blog is currently followed by more than 5-M social media users.
Supporters of Mocha believes that the blogger would be an effective President Communications assistant secretary because of her social media influence that even some mainstream social media sites can’t achieve.
