Netizen congratulates Germany instead of Philippines, stating that Pia Wurtzbach is not a pure Filipina.

But a Netizen catches the attention of everyone when she stated that Philippines is still not winning the Miss Universe, because she stated that Pia Wurtzbach is not a pure Filipina.

The Netizen named Rosemarie stated that Germany is the one who really won the competition because of her surname and birthplace. She also mentioned that Pia Wurtzbach is not a Pinay Beauty, but a Germany Beauty.

“I bet that the judges didn’t saw any Pinay beauty, but only German beauty on her” Said by Rosemarie to her bashers.

Her post is now under fire after this statement, but some people supported her for being frank in her statement.

“If she is a real and proud Pinay, why she didn’t use the surname Alonzo instead of Wurtzbach? She is just making the Germany proud!?” Rosemarie added.

Lately the Miss Universe became controversial after a big mistake in announcing the winner, the host called the name of Columbia as the winner instead of Philippines.

What can you say about the statement of Rosemarie?

  1. For one, she is definitely a pinay beauty since she is in fact a filipino, even though she is only part pinoy, she is still has filipino blood in her veins. Two, she has no right to just change her surname in a snap of her fingers just because people don’t believe that she’s representing philippines with her surname. Three, which country do you think she is representing? does her sash say germany? I’m afraid not. it says PHILIPPINES, because she chose to represent the country PHILIPPINES and not GERMANY. So if you’re going to congratulate germany for winning, then I don’t even know how you came to the conclusion that she even joined miss universe to represent germany when in fact she chose to represent our country, the philippines. Also if you’re going to be that bitter about our contestant WINNING miss universe and not being a full filipino, then I have some facts for you. ONE, after how many decades of philippines accepting immigrants from other countries, we should already know that there may be pinoys who are not full filipinos due to other filipinos settling down with foreigners. TWO, even though as you said, she is not in fact a full filipino, It doesn’t mean that she is an embarrassment to us, it proves that even though she is not pure filipino, she has the filipino characteristic of wanting to REPRESENT our country whether she wins or loses, that’s what it means to have enough confidence to try and REPRESENT our country, competing with contestants from ALL AROUND THE WORLD, and in the end, WINNING against all odds. And THREE, we don’t have to return ANYTHING to Germany because for one, we didn’t take ANYTHING away from them. In fact, they can also be proud that miss universe comes fro their country and is also half german, but that doesn’t mean that e should be humiliated by that. It means that we should be even MORE proud that we were able to win back the crown after 42 years.

  2. Why can’t some people be happy for our pride, Pia Wutrzbach? I really don’t get it.

  3. Believe me, Germany does not consider her a “German”, because she is Filipina looking and behaves like a Filipina- because she is only half German. I’ve lived in Germany for 16 years, and trust me when I tell you, it will take a hundred more years if not more until a mixed German/Filipina that looks mostly Filipina will be considered German. Pia Wurtzbach carries herself and looks like a Pinay. There is nothing German about her except for her last name and her height. I am very proud to call her a Filipina. There is nothing worst than not being accepted as who you are as a person by both sides. This lady is absolutely and confidently proud to be a Filipina and we should be, too. I know I am! That picture of Rosemarie shows me that she is very light skinned, which shows that she too might not be 100% Filipina. I’m dark skinned and look 100% Filipina, but I know that I have Italian and Spanish blood mixed in me from long, loooong time ago. Who exactly is 100% sure they are 100 % Filipino nowadays in the Philippines?
