It’s a rare occurrence that a President of a country chose to stay in his house to celebrate his birthday party.
Netizen Mai Laborde, shared some of the photos of President Rodrigo Duterte during his 73rd birthday.
It showed the President wearing his favorite old white t-shirt and boxer shirt playing with his grandchildren.
According to Laborde, they already planned to celebrate his birthday few weeks before his day, however Duterte refused because he only wanted to spend his special day privately together with his family.
It seems that the President also spent most of his day sleeping because according to Leborde, Duterte woke up late.
He also didn’t appear in public today.
“His usual is no party and no lavish celebration. And if he gets to celebrate it that way- he is at his HAPPIEST! And so, he woke up late, today… Yan si Mayor PRRD. Happy birthday, President Rody! We love you.” Leborde said.
Duterte’s grandchildren are also happy to see their lolo after being away from them several weeks because of his job as the country’s leader.
After working for several weeks in Manila, President Rodrigo Duterte looks happy that he was given a chance to take a rest for several days in Davao as part of his holy week vacation.
Next week, he was scheduled to go back to Manila to continue his responsibilities for the country.
He also announced that he would fire many officials after his vacation.
