Priest attacks Duterte in his homily: “The saviour’ name is not Rodrigo, His name is Jesus”

A church located in Cagayan De Oro reportedly attacked President Rodrigo Duterte on their Homily Sunday April 30.

The unnamed priest who gave the homily said that Jesus Christ is not the name of the savior and not Rodrigo.

People believes that the priest was referring to President Rodrigo Duterte, one of the fiercest critic of the Roman Catholic Church.

“…the saviour’s name is not Rodrigo, His name is Jesus.”Walk out, me.” The priest said during the Sunday Mass.

Netizen Enrico Ramon Lluch posted on his social media account that he heard the priest saying those words during the homily.

He also said that the incident happened in San Agustin Cathedral, where the archbishop of the church is vocal against the actions of President Rodrigo Duterte.

Lluch also believes that the archbishop could have written that homily.

San Agustin Cathedral is not yet giving any statement on their controversial homily that allegedly meant to attack the President.
