Presidential daughter and Davao City Mayor Inday Sara Duterte slammed PDP-Laban Secretary General and House Speaker Pantaleon Alvarez III for calling her a ‘member of the opposition’
In a Facebook post, Inday Sara, who’s now using her real name on her social media account criticized Pantaleon Alvarez in a series of Facebook post.
She said that someone should tell her father what Alvarez is doing.
Inday also warned the House Speaker that he messed with the wrong person.
“Kung a**hole ka sa Congress, don’t bring that to Davao, leave it in Manila. Somebody should tell the President what you are doing. How dare you call me part of the opposition. Kapal ng mukha mo. You messed with the wrong girl.” Inday Sara said in her post.
Inday Sara was apparently reacting to the alleged statements of the House speaker that he has the ability impeach President Rodrigo Duterte anytime and calling her a member of the opposition.
The Davao City Mayor also said that she’s going to give more info about what Alvarez did.
“Ano sabi mo in a crowd, “President iba siya, Speaker ako, I can always impeach him!” And you call me opposition? Somebody should really tell the President about the truth. Antay ka bukas, I have another story…” she said in another post.
The place where Alvarez said that statements against President Rodrigo Duterte is not yet known.
On February 23, Inday Sara Duterte announced that she formed a new political party to support her father’s program.
The new party, Hugpong ng Pagbabago (HNP) is formed by Sara together with 4 other governors from the Southern Mindanao, it’s estimated that there are already 500 politicians joined Inday Sara.
“Mayor Inday Sara and 4 governors of Davao Region formed the regional party Hugpong ng Pagbabago (HNP). Mayor Inday is the party chairperson,” Information officer Jefry Tupas said.
Yesterday, House Speaker Alvarez said that Inday Sara’s new political party is ‘non-issue’ and he respected the decision of the Presidential daughter instead of joining PDP-Laban.
“Hindi ko alam, pero okay naman kasi yung mga regional parties, talagang ginawa yun. So… they…. it’s a non-issue,” he said.
Even though he urged respect for Duterte-Carpio’s decision, Alvarez said the move shows how prominent political dynasties are in the Philippines.
“Kahit na mag-ama yan, kahit na minsan hindi tayo nagkakasundo, magkapatid naglalaban sa pulitika, paano natin pigilin yun? Sila mismo naglaban-laban ‘di ba? Ito namang sa kaso noong pagtatag ng partido ni Mayor Sara ay talaga namang pupuwede yun, di ba? So, igalang na lang natin talaga,” he said.
As of writing, House Speaker Alvarez is not yet giving any comments on the post of Inday Sara against him.
