Senator Chiz Escudero backs President Duterte’s decision to remove all the members of the United States of America Military in Mindanao.
When he was asked by a reporter from Politiko, Senator Chiz said that America must not interfere with the Philippines”
“Sa ilalim ng Saligang Batas, bawal magkaroon ng tropang Amerikano o Dayuhan na mag operate dito sa loob ng ating bansa, so kung yung tinutukoy ni Pangulong Duterte ay yung mga sundalong Amerikano na nandon base sa bisa ng VFA ay dapat hindi talaga sila engage in any combat operations. Senator Chiz said to the press.
He also believes that people are also sceptical that the US Army that were here for the Visiting Forces Agreement were engaging in military operations illegally.
“Kung meron, matagal na naman tayong may duda na meron, dapat ay yun ang pigilan” The Senator added.
He also said that Foreign Military must not interfere in the Philippines internal affairs, regardless of the severity of the problem.
The Senator personally like to review again the Visiting Forces Agreement of the United States of America and Philippines.
